My struggle with weight and self-confidence
Hello I’m Laure and this is my story
I’ve always enjoyed good health and good food.
But, in my mid-forties I transitioned into menopause and my body changed, my health changed.
One of the symptoms I experienced was debilitating digestive issues: gas, bloating, constipation and burning indigestion. As the digestive symptoms got worse I started gaining weight and especially fat around my belly. I gained 25 lbs!
I felt disconnected not just with my body but with life, I didn’t enjoy life.
When I looked for solutions to put an end to my belly fat and weight struggle, I found a lot of generic information, but no real help.
So I turned to holistic medicine, specifically Ayurveda.
Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest system of natural healthcare. What I discovered was for me my turning point insight.
I found that weight gain, and belly fat are imbalances caused by the build-up of toxins and impurities due to faulty digestion.
How I ended my belly fat and weight gain struggle
I started to improve my digestion, correct my lifestyle habits, and manage my stress according to the Ayurvedic principles of individual mind-body constitution or dosha.
You see different people gain weight in different ways.
It wasn’t easy to make these changes, but with support, awareness and a strong motivation, I was able to shed 17 pounds of extra weight.
I no longer experience painful bloating, and indigestion, and I ended my struggle with belly fat. Furthermore, the menopausal symptoms greatly lessened and even disappeared.
This experience motivated me to share the mindset and strategies I used for myself with other women.
